- On match, ask pre-screening questions (have you been sick in the past 2 weeks)
- If pre-screen passes, help coordinate transport automatically if appropriate
Currently, transplant coordinators are provided with a list of medically suitable recipients for a given organ offer.
However, the logistical feasibility of actually performing the transplant is not considered in the allocation process until the recipient transplant centre has to make a decision – burning through potentially life-saving time.
Furthermore - calculating all possible permutations and their probability is something that is impossible for a human, but we can easily tackle and continue to improve on with the use of AI - learning of patterns, travel times, etc - allowing transplant coordinators to make far more informed choices.
With the information captured by the Mobile Apps, the Web App will have access to the real-time locations of the organ, the recipient and the transplant team - enriched with knowledge of the operating room status.
The Web App allows transplant coordinators to plan and monitor the entire transplant process in real-time - from organ offer to transplant. It will allow them to coordinate all stakeholders, get real-time updates and alerts, and have a centralized place for all data and documentation.
Logistical Feasibility by exhaustive search and thousands of simulations.
When a set of donor organs (usually 2-3 organs) become available, OrganPath leverages match information from established allocation systems (e.g. Eurotransplant) and automatically generates a set of possible transplant plans for the transplant coordinator to choose from - taking into account the logistical feasiblity and probability of success of each plan by running thousands of simulations.
You are in the field and you know this inside out. – We want to build a product that supports you in the best possible way - so many lives depend on you, and knowing what it takes, we are nothing if humbled by the amazing job you already do. We are product engineers with years of experience building successful customer products. We want to help.
Talk to us, let us interview you, give us feedback - this will help us build the best possible product for you.
We want to actually have the impact. We are looking for transplant centres and networks which would be willing to pilot our solution to see it in action in real life, take feedback, and improve it so it can work better every time.
Research and development takes time. This is a passion problem for us, but we also have responsibilities. There's nothing we would love more than to be able to leave our main jobs and dedicate ourselves to solving this problem 100%. The impact is just too great to be ignored.
We love hearing from you. If you have feedback, questions or just want to say "Hi" – we are always up for a chat.
Let's
save more lives.
